Yesterday I forced myself out of bed with the very-original mantra “No excuses” and piloted the Miniature Boogie Van up to the Ride Studio Cafe in Lexington, MA. I haven’t ridden a bike in a long time, period. But it was Matt Roy’s surprise birthday ride. Matt is one half of MM racing, a team he shares with his wife, Elite cross racer, Mo Bruno-Roy. Matt rides across states for fun so this 50 mile ride was just a spin in the park, or a joke, we can say joke. For me, the punchline of the joke was “You are fat and out of shape. Maybe you shouldn’t have further handicapped yourself by riding a singlespeed mountain bike with draggy disc brakes and a cracked frame, loser.” But that’s how I roll…not very stylishly or fast. I made a video of the event, you should watch it.

Don’t call it a comeback, I was never here.
